Broadway Nails imPress press-on manicure review

I finally reviewing a product instead of posting my nail art yippee! I signed up with Influenster to test products for free. They choose people based on their answers in surveys and interaction in past voxbox programs. The lucky people they choose gets a Voxbox which a selection on different products to test and review. This one was called the Spring Fever Voxbox and inside was the imPress manicure, tastykakes, secret deodorant, NYC lip balm, and Osis+ Hair gel. I will review the others in their own post. I was so excited to be chosen for this one. imPRESS press-on manicure is a new patented nail product. They are a flexible artificial nail with a long lasting adhesive.
 The package shows these features;

  • Instant Manicure
  • No Drying Time
  • Superior, Lasting Shine
  • Easy Removal
The steps to apply them are;

  • Find the Correct Size for Each Nail
  • Lay Them Out in Order
  • Cleanse Nails With Included Pad
  • Peel Off Backing
  • Press On Nail
It was really easy to do and is supposed to last up to a week. I am curious to find out how long they do last for me because I use my hand a lot. I put them on about 7:00 PM on 6/16/2013. It is now almost 11:00 and I have eaten, used my smartphone, and been typing A LOT with no problems whatsoever! They did feel odd at first but I'm getting used to it. They are a speck longer than what my nails usually are so the length isn't a problem for me. If your nail is longer I recommend filing it before you apply the nails because it is difficult to do with them on. I can definitely get a second manicure from what it left since there are 24 nails in 12 sizes included, I may have trouble with having a slightly bigger one for my pinky but that not a problem. If you have tried them please leave a comment sharing your experience!

The design I received is the Over the Moon.

UPDATES:
06/17/2013 One nail came off midday, it was kinda long and hit things before the others, will use a different size next time. Second one came off, not sure why it seemed stuck on.
06/18/2013 Lost the third one while bagging up and carrying out the trash, it was loose and I didn't want to lose it so I took it off.
06/19/2013 Fourth was loose so I pulled it off so I didn't lose it.
06/22/2013 Fifth was annoying me :) It wasn't stuck all the way on the tip and was getting in the way.
06/23/2013 Sixth was loose so I pulled it off.
06/24/2013 One week later 4 were still on and not going anywhere for awhile.

I would definitely say that if you got a good all over seal these could last more than a week. Worth the price in my opinion.

Extra Relaxed 31 Day Challenge ~ Day 4: Green

For day 4 we needed to use the color green in our design. I had day 3's mani on my left hand so I decided to copy the design on my right hand using different colors. Dotting is easy and anyone can do it. Of course this is another time I didn't clean the edges.

I used Zoya Logan and Julep Sasha for this design. Unfortunately neither color photographed well in this lighting, they are both a speck lighter. The green/Logan is gorgeous in person.

If you would like to purchase any of Zoyas polishes I would appreciate it if you would follow this link and join their "share the love" program which is free but gets you free gifts and promotions. Share the Love

Extra Relaxed 31 Day Challenge ~ Day 3:Yellow

I'm a little behind, story of my life I know lol. Thankfully it is extra relaxed so I can get caught up easy.

For this one I need to incorporate the color yellow. I don't have yellow nail polish so I used my acrylic paint. I apologize for the non-clean up, won't do that again for the blog yikes!

I used Julep's Marion and then dotted with paint.

Crumpets Nail Tarts Tri-Polish Challenge...Day 1

Crumpets Nail Tarts has come up with a new fun interesting challenge for us tarts. We are given three colors and we must pick one polish for each color and we can only use those three polishes plus a few freebies like black, white, gold, silver, and glitter. For March we had to pick a green, purple, and coral polish. I chose Zoya's Logan as my green, Julep's Sasha as my coral and Julep's Anne as my purple. We have to post a new design on the last two Tuesdays and Thursdays of the month. For one of the designs we have to use all three colors. I chose to do all three in my first one. I did a double french using tape as my guides.

I REALLY love these three colors together.

Extra Relaxed 31 Day Challenge...Day 2...Orange

For day 2 we have to do a mani using the color orange. I am not a fan of orange but I ended up loving my nails. I got the color choices when I saw Rambles of a Polish Addicts design and decided I'd do orange and green (to me her polish looked green but now it looks yellow). I also saw a post on Facebook of a technique called saran wrap. I gave it a try and I am in LOVE, you will be seeing this technique a lot from me. It is so pretty.

I used Julep's Ingrid as my base and Fiona and Hoch as my marbled color.

To recreate this mani you need two colors. You apply one color as the base and you let that dry. For the method I tried you paint one coat of the top color and while it is still wet quickly dab a balled up piece of plastic wrap on the nail. Some of the top color will be pulled off leaving a marbled effect.

Extra Relaxed 31 Day Challenge...Day 1...Red

I have found the perfect challenge, one design a week! I love trying new things with my nails but want to try to many challenges and hate re-doing them every day or two. This one is done every Friday. I am behind but thanks to it being extra relaxed I am already caught up.

I used Julep's Joan as my base, and then "tried" to put red striped glitter on the tips. My first attempt at striped glitter was definitely a learning experience. I suggest not doing it on the tips and using tweezers.

Be sure to check out the other blogger's designs for Day 1 in Rambles of a Polish Addict's 31DC.
