Crumpets Nail Tarts Tri-Polish Challenge...Day 1

Crumpets Nail Tarts has come up with a new fun interesting challenge for us tarts. We are given three colors and we must pick one polish for each color and we can only use those three polishes plus a few freebies like black, white, gold, silver, and glitter. For March we had to pick a green, purple, and coral polish. I chose Zoya's Logan as my green, Julep's Sasha as my coral and Julep's Anne as my purple. We have to post a new design on the last two Tuesdays and Thursdays of the month. For one of the designs we have to use all three colors. I chose to do all three in my first one. I did a double french using tape as my guides.

I REALLY love these three colors together.

Check out the other designs in this challenge below!

Extra Relaxed 31 Day Challenge...Day 1...Red

I have found the perfect challenge, one design a week! I love trying new things with my nails but want to try to many challenges and hate re-doing them every day or two. This one is done every Friday. I am behind but thanks to it being extra relaxed I am already caught up.

I used Julep's Joan as my base, and then "tried" to put red striped glitter on the tips. My first attempt at striped glitter was definitely a learning experience. I suggest not doing it on the tips and using tweezers.

Crumpets Nail Tarts Sat-Art-Day Challenge

I am a little late on this its a few days past Saturday but I still wanted to do this challenge and just didn't have time to do it Saturday. Every Saturday in February we have been given the challenge to create nail art matching a specific theme. The theme for this Saturday is Amethyst Skittle. A skittle design is where each nail has a different technique used on it. I used Julep's Morgan as the base for all my nails.

Flowers made using a tiny paint brush and dotting tools. Colors used Julep's Popova, Claudette, and Teresa

Stripes done freehand using Julep's Ginger, and Marion and Zoya's Logan
Dots made using dotting tools using Julep's Teresa and Julianne

I am working on two differnt challenges at the moment so I did this one on my right hand and thats why some of my hearts are a little akward. I do enjoy making hearts you never know exactly how they are gonna look. I love the bottom one on my ring finger. I used all Julep polishes on this one, the base is Morgan, the hearts are Claudette, and the leaves are Popova.

My First Valentines Day Mani

Valentines Day Challenge Day 1: Pink or Red I normally don't get into the whole Valentines Day thing but I saw some nail art challenges and decided I'd give it a shot. I have also been wanting to try out my new dotting tools and make some hearts. I used a Sally Hansen treatment as my basecoat and Perfect Formula's Gel Coat as my topcoat. All the polishes are from Julep. The doting tools came from M.A.S.H nails, blog post about my order coming soon.

My Heart design was made by doing two coats of Teresa with Niecy Hearts and Drew dots with Jane dots on top.

This design was two coats of Teresa with one coat of Jane and Drew dots.

Here is my close-up of Jane, she is gorgeous. Rose colored glitter with copper circles. Named after the founder of Julep.

I hope you like my mani check out the other mani's in datyorkLOVES challenge

Julep Star Mani

Hi Welcome to my first blog post.

I am a huge fan of Julep's nail vernis. I can't seem to get enough. I bought a set they had that gave 4 different textures and used two of them for this mani. I also used one from their Trina Turk collection.

My nails are kinda brittle and cracking, probably due to the dry winter air so for my basecoat I used Sally Hansen's Continuous Treatment:Strength as a topcoat I used Perfect Formula's Gel Coat.

This mani reminds me of stars in the sky.

The polishes I used are Brit ~ matte seude, Patti ~ full coverage glitter, and Brandt ~ Trina Turk Fall 2012. In some photos Patti is used alone in others it is over Brandt.
